KP Forecast
The KP index is a measure of the strength of the geomagnetic storm. The higher the KP index, the stronger the storm and the more likely you are to see the northern lights.
The current KP forecast for Kiruna is 3. This means that there is a moderate chance of seeing the northern lights tonight.
The best time to see the northern lights is typically between 10pm and 2am. However, you may be able to see them at other times, especially if the KP index is high.
If you are planning on going aurora hunting, be sure to dress warmly and bring a camera. You will also want to find a spot with clear skies and no light pollution.
