Mural of Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts Pops Up in Brazil Ahead of Packers-Eagles Matchup
Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers to Face Off This Sunday
Mural Pays Tribute to Quarterbacks’ College Connections
As the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers prepare to face off this Sunday, a new mural has emerged in Brazil honoring the quarterbacks of both teams, Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts.
The mural, located in the city of São Paulo, depicts Love and Hurts in their respective uniforms, standing side-by-side with the words "Respeito" (Respect) written above them. The artwork is a nod to the quarterbacks' shared history as teammates at the University of Oklahoma.
Both Love and Hurts were highly-touted recruits coming out of high school, and they quickly became stars in Norman. Love was a two-time Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, while Hurts led the Sooners to a College Football Playoff appearance in 2018. They played together for two seasons before Hurts transferred to Alabama in 2019.
Despite taking different paths to the NFL, Love and Hurts have both found success in their respective teams. Love is now the starting quarterback for the Packers, while Hurts has led the Eagles to a 5-0 record this season.
The mural in Brazil is a testament to the respect that both players have for each other, and it is sure to be a source of inspiration for fans of both teams as they prepare for Sunday's matchup.
